Amy Barton grew up in a small suburb off of Seattle. She is number 5 to her parent's 6 kids, and just barely moved out. She now lives in Sacramento, California.
This is a pitcure of her, taken in front of an adorable bookstore in Seattle by Heidi, her awesome friend.
Things to know about me from this pitcure:
My hair is the same color as all of my brown shirts. I like it that way, usually.
I don't remember what I'm looking at.
Those are my two favorite shirts, and one of them has a hole in it, which grieves me.
Other important things:
- I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
- I am a volunteer with City Year.
- I am female (this is important).
- I am learning to eat vegetarian. That is, to eat like a vegetarian, not to eat vegetarians. Because that would be cannabalistic. And not very vegentarianism-like.
- Sacramento is a beautiful place, and I love it there.
- I will be permanently cold when I go home.
- I have a fish, his name is Loonette-ka, and I love him.
- I am one of Bug and Cash's humans. But they are not my dogs.
- When I was in high school I took one AP class, just barely passed it, and didn't take the test at the end. Oh well, so sad.
- The next year I participated in the program Running Start, which allowed me to go to the local community college and take classes there with the big kids. Yes, I loved it. No, it probably didn't help my GPA. Yes, I think it prepared me for college.
- In the Spring of 2012, I graduated from high school with 66 college credits and a GPA of 3.11. Cum Laude. I had the cord and everything. In case you really wanted to know.
- I ride a bike everywhere. Well, lots of places, at least.
- In December of 2011, I decided I wanted to take a year off of school to volunteer. I found City Year.
